U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Leonard Kosinski, the logistics director of the Joint Staff, spoke at a panel this week where he highlighted Ukrainian forces’ circumstances while running out of U.S. munitions.
The United States and European Union’s contributions have given Ukraine a technological advantage over Russia. However, Russia has been willing to use risky tactics and has the ability to mass produce large amounts of basic munitions of its own.
EU countries have been able to offer a greater amount of munitions than expected to equip Ukraine to continue its defense on the battlefield. General Kosinski stated that congressionally mandated financial aid was still required for Ukraine to counter Russia’s attack.
